Brian Kao

Brian Kao has over 20 years of experience leading Data Science teams for big tech companies.  His experience includes Data Science leadership roles at Apple, Amazon, NBCUniversal and in his current role at Coupang.  His key focus is to drive impact through applied Data Science, AI/ML, and Analytics. He holds a M.S. in Data Science Engineering from the Samueli School of Engineering, along with a M.B.A. and B.A. in Economics. Brian is a passionate about the Data Science field and enjoys mentoring and teaching aspiring students and professionals.  Brian has a wealth of experience developing, managing, and leading Data Science professionals.  On his off time, he serves as a Technical Mentor for a program designed to help aspiring professionals looking to break into big tech and FAANG companies.
