Creating Comics by Hand

Comics are a holistic art form incorporating drawing, design, and narrative. This class provides a comprehensive walkthrough of creating a comic from scratch, by hand. Students receive a survey of the medium’s history, determine the type of project they would like to create, then, after discussing materials, embark on creating their comic. Each student will produce a personal, unique work while honing their skills as an artist.
